... Konnte mich noch nie überzeugen. Da halte ich es lieber mit:
bāristānēh hān bavēt kē bār i ruvān, i ō tan apāyist, ka-š škiftēh apar frāč rasēt api-š ō kas tuvān spōxtan, nē spōčēt, bē bāristānēh xʷat apar patīrēt
"bāristān ('enduring, patient, humble') is the quality of him who does not throw (upon another) the burden of his soul, which affects himself, when hardships befall him and he would be able to thrown it upon another, but accepts spontaneously to be a bāristān"
(Pahlavi Rivāyat v. Nyberg, A Manual of Pahlavi, II, 1974: 44)
